so basically, i wanted to do something, but i have no idea what.
this is what i have so far, i figured i could go one of three ways; dark, light, or pretty much normal.
the thing is, i can't decide which one. i really haven't done much to the original render or stock. here's all of them.

The bottom one is the best, it has the most depth, color, and shading. I would add a border, and if you want, some text. Only thing I would say is to work on blending the render a bit. Other than that good job man. Glad you decided to fire up the old PS.

I would also add a light source above his head since it looks like thats where there was one.
